We Are Live!

We’re proud to announce the PulseMaps service to the world!

PulseMaps is the easiest way on the web to create heat maps (also known as density maps).  Our heat maps can be used to visualize basically any location-based data, such as user locations, population demographics, visualizing cell tower signal strengths… We’ll be posting some interesting, and hopefully sometimes amusing, examples of heat maps on this blog, so stay tuned.

We’ve built a minimalist API to add a heat map overlay on top of Google Maps.  Our JSON API allows software developers to easily include heat maps in web applications.

However, we realize that not everyone is a software developer.  Over the next few weeks/months, we’ll be introducing various tools to create heat maps for various purposes, without any programming needed whatsoever.  The first such tool will be a visitor map widget, like the one you can see on the sidebar of this blog.
